Gearing Up for ISE 2024
S3 Entertainment Europe, ISE 2024, Integrated Systems Europe, AV industry event, technology showcase
As I (finally) begin writing our first blog post of 2024, I am reflecting on the whirlwind that has marked the start of the year. The S3 Entertainment Europe team has been braving the chilly days on-site to ensure we deliver thrilling home technology projects. Despite the busyness of this season, Andrew and I made time for a heartwarming and delightful Christmas celebration with loved ones. And as for our New Year’s Eve? Well, it was our “Karaoke Spectacular” that brought laughter and joy to the cold night.
As we enter the new year, we eagerly anticipate what lies ahead. In the coming week, we are preparing for another adventure at ISE 2024, the Integrated Systems Europe exhibition. We are thrilled to reconnect with old friends and the amazing SnapOne/Control4 team – a reunion that fosters camaraderie and innovation.
Personally, I am excited about the Avixa Mixer and Meetup for AV Marketers – a wonderful opportunity to connect, exchange insights, and learn from fellow enthusiasts. With a glass of cava in hand, I will engage in discussions for the benefit of our S3 Consulting clients.
What is the Integrated Systems Expo (ISE)?
ISE, the world’s leading audiovisual expo, is about to make history with ISE 2024. The event is nearing a sellout and excitement is building for the largest show floor ever across eight halls of the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via. This highlights ISE’s status as the premier AV and systems integration exhibition globally. The show floor for ISE 2024 will be 30% larger than last year, creating great anticipation for recording the highest number of visitors ever at this event. This solidifies ISE’s reputation as the go-to event for professionals in the field.
Moreover, attendees can look forward to the most comprehensive content programme to date from 30 January to 2 February 2024. There will be nine conferences covering a wide range of topics critical to the AV and systems integration industry. This upcoming event promises valuable insights and knowledge-sharing opportunities.
Beyond Home Automation at ISE 2024
We are eagerly anticipating three really cool things to see while attending ISE:
Firstly, the ISE Audio Museum showcases Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of The Moon PA, the monitors and amplifier used to mix The Beatles in Abbey Road Studio, David Bowie’s PA system from the Ziggy Stardust tour (1973), and more.
Considering that the America’s Cup will be held in Barcelona in 2024, it is definitely worth paying a visit to The America’s Cup Experience. It is conveniently located inside a revamped IMAX theatre near the port. Moreover, The America’s Cup Experience now boasts a newly opened restaurant called VRABA. You can relish a meal on the terrace while enjoying views of the harbour and super-yachts. How can we possibly resist?
Finally, the Casa Batlló will be transformed into a digital canvas by artist, Sofia Crespo. “Structures of Being” will explore organic life and its evolution through AI. The projection mapping will take place between 9pm and 10.30pm on 27 and 28 January. It will be also be live-streamed on the Casa Batlló website. ISE attendees will be able to view the digital art in its entirety on the ISE Creative Cube, a 6m by 2m LED four-screen monoliths, powered by Lang, that will be situated near the ISE Show Floor Stage.
